Tottenham secures 3rd spot after first half goal on the South Coast. Kane's first half header proved enough to sink Brighton's hopes of reaching the Champions League spots.

Tottenham move up to 3rd position after earning a hard fought victory away to Brighton, whilst the Seagulls remain in 6th place.

Kane found the net mid-way through the first half, after getting on to the end of Son's cross, opening the scoring for Spurs. Trying to get back into the game, Brighton tried to work their way up the pitch graduall, putting Lloris under pressure to make a few acrobatic saves.

After a balanced first half, Brighton started off the second stronger, aplying a lot of pressure on the Tottenham goal. Spurs then managed to maintain the pressure, and worked their way back into the match, with Kane having a few chances to add a second.

Brighton were unable to get through the resolute Tottenham defence and Conte's men managed to see out their one goal lead.
