The Spurs striker has made a timely comeback from injury after missing almost two months with an ankle injury picked up in their 1-0 victory over Sunderland earlier in the season.
The news couldn't come at a better time for Tottenham who have failed to win in their last six games in all competitions and go up against their fierce north London rivals, Arsenal, on Sunday.
"Harry Kane will be in the squad," Pochettino said at a press conference ahead of the game on Sunday.
"We are very happy with Harry, he had a good training session - he is fit.
"In the last few seasons he has been very important for us and was the top scorer in the league [in 2015-16]. It is important for the club, it is very good news and good to have him back. He can help the team".
