Juventus want to terminate Paul Pogba's contract following ban-reduction

Paul Pogba's doping suspension has been reduced to 18 months from an initial four years, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said on Friday. He is, therefore, set to make his return to professional football on the 11th of March 2025 after a long period of absence. The player released a statement on the same day the decision was announced, sharing his delight in that his "nightmare is finally over". However, it seems his return may not be as smooth as he would have hoped. 

According to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, Pogba is not in Juventus' plans. The 'Bianconeri' are reportedly waiting for the official statement from the CAS, confirming the ban reduction, to then terminate the French international's contract, which currently expires in June 2026. 

As a result, the former United man could see himself without a club on his return to the pitch. That said, Schira further indicates interest from the MLS and the Saudi Pro League, as clubs have reportedly asked information on the midfielder.

Pogba's agents are looking for solutions as Juventus seem keen on their decision to let go of the player. While the ban is still in place, the player's camp have just over five months to look for club willing to sign the 31-year-old.
