Speculation has been mounting about where the Germany international will be playing next season as he looks poised to leave Merseyside on a free transfer.
Juventus haven't hidden their interest in Can but their chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that the club are bracing themselves for a fight once the transfer window opens in the summer.
Marotta said: "Emre Can is a player everyone wants for his qualities and being a free agent on June 30. We've had our say. There are other contenders and we await a response, but I don't think it'll be over the next few days."
Negotiations had been put on hold between the Serie A outfit and the midfielder so that Can could focus on Liverpool, with the 'Reds' battling for second position in the Premier League and through to the quarter finals of the Champions League.
However, with transfer prices inflated heavily at the moment, bagging an international midfielder with plenty of top-level experience for nothing will no doubt prove a tempting prospect to a host of clubs.
