After several weeks of negotiations, FC Barcelona finally announced Julian Araujo as their new signing, although the Mexican will only wear the Barca jersey from next season onwards.
The winger did not want to miss the opportunity to say goodbye to Los Angeles Galaxy, where he has excelled during the last four seasons, to such an extent that he aroused the interest of the Catalan club.
"Four incredible seasons that I will never forget. I want to thank the incredible fans who supported me and cheered me on from the day I made my debut until my last game. For all my teammates, coaches and staff, it was a pleasure to represent this club with all of you," Araujo began.
And in the same vein, he said goodbye: "I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to develop within this institution, from the academy to the first team, with the biggest club in MLS. Los Angeles Galaxy will always be part of my story and it has been an honour to share these experiences with all of you. See you all soon.
Speaking to the official Barcelona website, Araujo could not hide his joy at this moment in his career: "It's an honour to be the first player from the Barca Academy to sign for Barca.
