While the first half had been a cagey affair, the second half got off to a more promising start when Burnley managed to get ahead in the game through a towering header from Jóhann Berg Gudmundsson.
Cardiff looked to get back in to the game, and the goal seemed to provide them with the motivation to do that.
The 'Bluebirds' wokred the ball out ot the right flank, where Bruno Ecuele Manga was on hand after a surge forward to get the ball in to the box.
Former Norwich winger Josh Murphy was waiting for the ball, and excellently swept the ball home in to the bottom right-hand corner to give his side a way back in to the match.
