"Joao Felix's performance has dropped and others are doing better"

Joao Felix refuses to spend the season on the bench. The Portuguese wants to pack his bags in January and leave Atletico Madrid because of his coach Diego Pablo Simeone's attitude.

The Argentinian coach spoke to the media at the press conference prior to the match against Athletic Club and discussed this controversial issue.

"I'm going to be very clear on the subject of Joao: I want to win," he stated bluntly before the Madrid side's visit to the Nuevo San Mames.

"When his performance was good he played. Now that his performance has dropped another one is playing. When he performs well again he will play. Now, others do better," he added.

In this way, Simeone explained the situation of the Portuguese international, who is living a difficult situation in the Spanish capital.
