"It's something personal, I've been thinking about it for months"

Jordi Cruyff, who is still Barcelona's technical secretary, revealed that he had been thinking about his decision to leave the club at the end of the current season for months.
Speaking to 'Barca TV' after La Liga match against Real Sociedad (1-2) in which the first team celebrated the title, the Barca executive expressed his gratitude for the confidence shown by the club over the last two years.
"I am very grateful to the board and delighted with the work I have done with Mateu Alemany (sporting director), with whom it is true that we have had a bad time at times, but always with a smile," he said.
He also highlighted the friendship he has forged with FC Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez. "It's been one of the most beautiful things and I'm very grateful to him," he said of his professional relationship with the coach.
