"It hurts a lot, we lacked a little bit of luck"

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak remarked on Wednesday, after the elimination in the Champions League against Real Madrid in the penalty shootout, that it is “a shame”, admitted that “it hurts a lot” and regretted that they have “lacked luck”.
“Of course it hurts. We played a great game, but unhappily we lacked a little bit of luck. It hurts a lot. It hurts a lot. The people are amazing still supporting us. The truth is that we are disappointed with the defeat. We have not been able to come back,” he told ‘Movistar’.
Antonio Rudiger's final penalty was touched by Oblak, but eventually went in. “I had it in my head that it could be that way. In the end I didn't get to the ball properly and it went in. It's this luck that we haven't had. It's football. Unfortunately it couldn't have been,” he lamented.
“There's a lot of season left. It's not what we wanted. We wanted to reach the Champions League final, but we have a long way to go. We have to pick ourselves up and we have to play this weekend against a great team like Barcelona and try to win it to stay up in La Liga. We are still alive in the Copa del Rey and hopefully we will do well and make it to the end of the season,” he said.
