"In terms of results, this is the best team I've been in"

Marquinhos, the Brazilian centre-back for PSG, stated this Friday that it is an "honour" and that he feels "proud" to play for the French club in their most successful season in history, but he stopped short of declaring it the best team he has ever played in.
"It's a difficult question, very specific. I think that, in terms of results, this is undoubtedly the best team I've been in since I arrived. At PSG, however, I've played with incredible players, players who have made history in football, players who, if you think about their name and the titles they've won, are perhaps ahead of these players right now," Marquinhos explained in the press conference prior to the Club World Cup final.
The Brazilian added that Luis Enrique's PSG is "probably the team or the squad that works best collectively", but that he has experienced "wonderful moments" with other teammates in the Parisian outfit.
"I was with them in a Champions League final when I arrived as a youngster, I played with other players who were idols of mine. So I really can't say that this is the best team I've played in," he detailed.
Marquinhos also commented that it took them "a while" to understand each other "properly" but that during the last few months they have been playing "at an excellent level of reading the matches and the moments".
"If we analyse our game, we have to look at the attackers. Dembele, every time he has the ball at his feet, Barcola and Doue how they apply pressure... It's a collective effort, forwards and midfielders put in the effort and make life easier for us. Our style of play is aggressive with the ball at our feet, attacking. The more time we have it, the less damage they can do to us," he broke down.
The captain of the Parisians expressed that they greatly respect Chelsea and that they are approaching the match with the attitude of "not compromising on any effort" because they want to "continue winning to stay on top, which is the most difficult thing".
"The emotion I felt when winning a Champions League, I have felt it few times in my life," he confessed. In addition, he also referred to his teammate in the 'Canarinha' Joao Pedro, Chelsea forward, whom he predicted a promising future with the Blues.
"He has stature, technique, speed, interesting movements, a highly complete attacker. We are going to double our attention on him. As happened with Vini, Mbappe, with Bayern... I expect my team to have the utmost respect for the players in order to give their best," he concluded.
