"You can't go there with fear in your head, because you will be destroyed. You have to believe in yourself and your way of playing football. We do not fear Barcelona. Of course, we respect them for what they are; one of the best teams in the world", recognised the Dane in an interview with 'Omnisport'.
In the same vein, Kjaer continued to empasise his point, and warned: "You have to make Barcelona feel uncomfortable and impose your game plan on them, so you they have to play end to end instead of solely focusing on attacking their opponent. Parking the bus in the Cam Nou is not an option, because 9 out of 10 times you will lose."
Similarly, regarding Messi, the Dane indicated: " He is a fantastic player and when he is at his best it is extremely hard to stop him. You can't man mark him, because Barcelona have so many good players that will exploit the gaps you leave behind."
"You have to defend collectively against Messi; try to reduce spaces and make sure that he cannot perform well against you. But for me it is always a pleasure, the best thing in football is playing against the best players and the best teams, and trying to beat them..." he declared with an air of confidence.
