Real Madrid are no strangers to letting player go, only to see them shine elsewhere and 19-year-old Achraf is the latest example.

A move to Germany sees him follow in the footsteps of Carvajal, who spent the 2012/13 campaign in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen before Madrid activated a buy-back clause to bring him back to the Bernabeu.

Speaking to 'El Transistor' on 'Onda Cero', Hakimi revealed the reason behind his fine form since his move to Dortmund, saying: "I'm playing with more calmness at Borussia because I have the continuity that I want. I'm feeling really confident here. At Real Madrid, in my position, it wasn't the same."
