Huijsen ban confirmed: out for PSG clash but could feature in final

Real Madrid now know the length of the suspension facing Dean Huijsen in the Club World Cup. Following his dismissal in added time of the match against Borussia Dortmund, the defender will only be absent for the semi-final.
Huijsen was shown a straight red card after pulling back Guirassy as the last man inside the area, resulting in a one-match suspension, ruling him out of the clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
The defender from Malaga avoids a more severe punishment and could feature in a potential final, provided Real Madrid can overcome the current European champions, which will be a difficult task.
Huijsen receives this sanction for "preventing a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity for the opposing team", as stipulated in the regulations. This contrasts with the cases of Pacho and Lucas Hernández, PSG defenders who have been suspended for two matches.
