"Hazard will forget all his RM misery while with Belgium"

Belgium will get their Euro 2020 campaign underway against Russia. The game is on Saturday 12th June at 21:00 CEST. 

Marc Gabriel Degryse, one of the legendary former Belgium players, spoke about the Euros to 'Het Laatste Nieuws.'

Although he understands that he will not shine given Hazard's difficult season at Real Madrid, he does think Hazard will be much better at the Euros.

"Obviously on a sporting front, it goes against all logic to think he will suddenly be world class. Can we expect Hazard at his best if he hasn't had five good matches in a row in two years?", he asked. 

That said, he believes Hazard will do better than at Madrid. "I don't think his concerns will affect him at the Ruros. The main thing is for him to remain fit. He will forget all of his misery there," Degryse said. 

His Belgium teammates will help him to gain his confidence back. "He feels at home in the team. They'll all give him the ball, how he likes it so he might suddenly feel comfortable again and say 'guys, let's do what we did three years ago again," he concluded. 

Everyone in Belgium seems to agree. Coach Roberto Martinez said that the main thing is for "him to enjoy again," something which the former player also says.
