Hazard already feels the 'Madrid feeling' with the Champions League

"It was in my plans to come to Real Madrid. At Chelsea, I already knew that my dream was to play for this club one day. I did not expect to play 6 or 7 years there, but in the end, everything went well and I have had the opportunity to win something every year. Now it is a dream to be here and I hope to make the most of it", he said in an interview with UEFA.
Hazard recognises that Real Madrid feels special because it was where Zinedine Zidane played at the time when he was just starting out in football. "For me, it was the club. It is the white shirt and Santiago Bernabeu is the best stadium. When I was young, i supported Real Madrid, so I also wanted to play here for this reason."
Not long after arriving at Real Madrid, the Belgian midfielder stated that he felt something special after seeing all the European cups won by the most prize-winning club. "Since I arrived here I felt a connection with the Champions League.
"When you are at Real Madrid, although it is my first year, upon speaking with the fans, they hope to win the Champions League. I believe that there are so many expectations put on this competition and it is the reason that they have won it more than any other team", he argued.
Hazard stated that he feels "like a small child" when working with Zidane. "I am happy. I am learning every day. It's great to work with a coach who you know has played the game when you talk to him. I only need to learn from him and I am sure that everything will go well."
Among his great Real Madrid memories of the past, he highlighted Raúl, Figo and Ronaldo in the 'galactic' stage. "It was great to see them. We were attracted to the club because they had all those stars there and they played together."
He remembered the special moment of his massive presentation. "I was on the pitch and it felt like home. It was different to the press conference, to see all the fans, the President giving a speech, all the cameras. I felt quite emotional and also a little impatient. I am better when I let my feet do the talking on the pitch."
Once he has completed his official debut, Hazard is already thinking about meeting the challenges set at Real Madrid."When you are at a club like Real Madrid, you need to win and you have to score. I try to enjoy myself as much as possible on the pitch. If I do it, the results will come".
He finished by underlining the differences in the fans expectations. "Here, the fans are real fans. In England, there aren't many of them, they like football, but are not fanatics of their teams. The times I was at Chelsea and we lost, we were disappointed, as were the followers, but nothing felt like it was a disaster. This is different in Spain. Football is everything to them."
