Haaland and Mbappe to both join Real Madrid?

There was a time when Real Madrid boasted about having an absolute collection of stars. Every year they were signing the best players. Real Madrid were nicknamed 'Los Galacticos' (the superstars) and that will be the case once again if they buy both Mbappe and Erling Haaland. 

President Florentino Perez's first term in charge was remembered more because of his signings than for his sporting success, that is undeniable, although the club won their ninth Champions League and two La Liga trophies as well.

It was a Real Madrid side who were envied by all fans in fotball because they had, without doubt, the best players at that time. 

That spirit ended up disappearing when Perez left the presidency and did not return when he came back. Until now. Media outlets close to the club say that Real Madrid will not just get Mbappe in the summer, but that they are also in a strong position to sign Haaland. In any case, no decision on Mbappe will be made until after the Champions League last 16 meeting with PSG. 

It is no secret that Mbappe is tempted by playing at Real Madrid and it is something which he himself has said on many occasions. However, PSG will do everything in their power and more to prevent losing the player for free.

According to 'Marca', Real Madrid are confident that Mbappe will stick to his word because he apparently agreed to join them last summer, but PSG's refusal to budge put paid to that move. 

The surprising thing is that they are also determined to get hold of Haaland. The cited media outlet talks about a whopping 350 million euros if you include the transfer fee, commissions and his salary, to get the Norwegian. That would also see them prevent Barca signing him. 

That is is an incredible amount of money and that will obviously get people wondering about Financial Fair Play. 

After years and years of austerity, it looks like Real Madrid are ready to spend big on players.
