In the last few months there has been speculation about Mario Goetze's possible Dortmund departure. In the end, it was the player who confirmed the news.
"I'd like to announce that, after intense consideration, I've decided to make a change of scenery in my sporting career", he said in some declarations collected by 'Bild'.
Goetze is looking for a club. And he is not lacking in desire to continue adding sporting experience to his career. His decision, he said, has been well thought out. "I've taken my time to take this step. It's an important decision for my sporting future and I'm looking forward to working with Reza Fazeli and his agency. Their professional competence has completely convinced me," he explained.
However, he admitted that now there is no certainty because of the health crisis: "What the future will bring will only be known when there is a little normality in the world".
Goetze is not going to lack suitors. Roma noted his name on their wishlist and Bayer Leverkusen have also been linked, although the German side denied being interested in the Dortmund player.
