From Castilla debut to nailed on first team starter

Casemiro left Sao Paulo at the age of 20 to make the big step up to Spanish football and to a demanding team left Real Madrid. At Real Madrid Castilla, he played just 15 matches until Mourinho realised that the midfielder was going to be a Real Madrid legend.
'Marca' recalls that it was on 16th February 2013 when Casemiro made his first appearance against Sabadell in Segunda B. After a couple of months, he saw himself in the first team under Mourinho. His first match was at the Bernabeu against Real Betis.
Since then, the Brazilian's history at Real Madrid is full of success and responsibility which has increased as time has gone by. His trophy cabinets reflects that with four Champions Leagues, three Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, a La Liga, a Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
Since he returned from Porto, Casemiro has played 40 matches per season on average and in the current campaign, he is on course to beat the previous season's tally. At the moment, he has got his best assists stat wth four.
In addition, Casemiro has gone into 2020 as the best recoverer of the ball in La Liga with 44 and the prize for the best Real Madrid footballer in January. This Sunday, it will be seven years since his first game back in the third tier.
