Ferdinand: "I didn't like Fernando Torres"

One of the legends in the history of the Premier League is Rio Ferdinand. The legendary English centre-back played for Manchester United between 2002 and 2014 and became a key player in the success of the Red Devils. The defender has faced great strikers throughout his career.
One of them was Fernando Torres, who played for Liverpool before joining Chelsea. The defender had an altercation with the Spaniard that he still does not forgive and this is what he confessed in the programme 'Vibe with Five' in an interview for the British newspaper 'The Sun'. The England international still holds a grudge.
"I didn't like Fernando Torres. He stamped on my foot one time in a game when the ball was at the other end. I needed stiches in my foot. I was playing and the ball was at the other end and we had had a few tussles in the game," he said.
"I went in at half time and when I took off my boot it was the worst thing I could have done. My foot swelled up, I had to get stitches, I had an injection, and I put my boot back on and went out and played. For ages it was killing me and I've got a scar on my foot. He's a nasty character," he added.
