Former Liverpool and Bolton Wanderers winger El Hadji Diouf spoke to French radio 'RMC Sport' about any clubs which he regrets not signing for.
Diouf, who was infamous for spitting at footballers, is clearly not shy of controversy - stating that he wishes that he had signed for Manchester United.
Asked if he regretted signing for any teams Diouf said: "I would say Liverpool.
"Because if I had the chance again I would go to Manchester United or Barcelona. At the time they wanted me also."
Diouf joined Liverpool in 2002 for £10m after impressing for Senegal at the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, but his time at Anfield was not a success.
He made his name at Bolton Wanderers and featured in Sam Allardyce's experienced squad who even finished fifth one year.
