The Alfredo di Stéfano stadium will host the Real Madrid v Eibar match in the return of La Liga after the break caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The arena will be the centre of attention on Sunday 14th June, but not only because of this long-awaited match. Valdebebas will become the 100th stadium to have hosted a La Liga match, as 'AS' recalls.
In this way, the Di Stéfano stadium will form part of a select club of stadiums that have hosted a Spanish top tier match. A usual stadium for Castilla and youth team matches, the stadium has more than enough characteristics to host high level games, especially after VAR has been installed.
But Madrid will not be the only team to change stadiums due to building works. The same will also happen to Levante, so they will be forced to play at the Camilo Cano de La Nucía, which will become the 101st Primera División stadium, although it will do so on matchday 29.
