Dembele left out of Barca squad list

Barca are moving on from their Copa del Rey exit in midweek. They have no other option than to focus on the present. 

This Sunday, the Catalans travel to Vitoria to play Alaves and Xavi released his squad list this Sunday. Ousmane Dembele has not been included in it for tactical reasons. 

Xavi was clear about it in his last press conference. "He knows the situation and nothing has changed," the coach said. Xavi did not mention whether the player would be included in the squad or not, but it is now clear that the coach does not count on him. Despite Dembele training normally on Saturday, Xavi has decided to leave him at home.

Ansu Fati is not in the list as he injured the femoral biceps muscle in his left leg and he could even have to go to theatre. Sergi Roberto, Depay, Eric García and Umtiti are also unavailable through injury.

Gavi is also unavailable for the Alaves game, but in his case, it is because of suspension. Lastly, Luuk de Jong returns.
