Alan Hutton is an Aston Villa legend in the Premier League. The 38 year old ex-player is in a respected place to be able to doubt that Philippe Coutinho will be staying in Birmingham much longer.
The Scottish said to 'Football Insider' that the Brazilian player doesn't have a guaranteed future at Villa Park: "They'll have to decide what to do with players like Coutinho, who are on high wages. Should we get rid of him to fund other signings?".
Alan Hutton added that Unai Emery will want to put his own mark on Aston Villa next season: "I think that Emery's happy with the formation he's playing at the moment, but he'll definitely want to bring in his own faces".
Philippe Coutinho is under contract until 2026, but injuries and his up-and-down form (he's got just one goal so far this season) could be the final straw of his spell at the English side, where he went last season.
