Connor Wickham is closer and closer to signing for Sheffield Wednesday. The player will leave Crystal Palace on loan.

The Hereford born striker expected to play a greater number of minutes this season. His wish has not been granted after only playing in four Premier League games.

At the moment, Connor Wickham's season is one of the worst for the 26-year-old, who joined the London team in 2015, coming from Sunderland in exchange for 10 million euros.

With a contract until June 2021, Wickham will not leave Crystal Palace permanently, although they would be happy with the option of a loan so that he can gain importance and confidence.

According to the 'Daily Mail', Sheffield Wednesday could be a potential destination for him for the rest of the season. Everything points to this being the best option for him.
