Chelsea halt Malang's Sarr move to Fulham

Chelsea have blocked the departure of defender Malang Sarr while they wait to find a replacement after failing to land Kounde, 'The Athletic' reports. For now, there is only one English club interested in him: Fulham.
The Cottagers have already made several offers for four Chelsea defenders including Malang Sarr. The defender has a contract at the club until June 2025, who he joined in the 2021-22 season from Porto.
He is a 23 year-old central defender, who came through the Nice academy and the France youth teams (Under 17, Under 18, Under 20 and Under 21). Sarr is characterised for being solid in defence and a footballer who is good on the floor, plays a lot and with lots of intensity on the pitch.
Last season, Sarr played a total of eight matches in the Premier League at Chelsea. He also played in two Club World Cups, four in the FA Cup, two in the Champions League and five Carabao Cups. He also played for the under 23s on one occasion.
