Chelsea captain Reece James SET to undergo harmstring surgery

Reece James' injury curse seems to have no end in sight. Although a few days ago the British press reported that Chelsea were still unsure whether the player should have surgery on his recent hamstring injury, it seems that he will have to do so. 

The right-back will undergo hamstring surgery in Finland and will be out of action for around four months, with an expected return in April. This is not only a blow for the Blues, but for the defender himself, who could see his hopes of playing for England at Euro 2024 fade away.

It is worth noting that the Three Lions international already missed the World Cup in Qatar last year after suffering knee ligament damage and was unavailable for months at Stamford Bridge. 

It is not the first time that Reece James has suffered a hamstring injury, far from the truth, as the right-back has injured his hamstring up to seven times in a three-year period.
