Borussia Dortmund v Tottenham: Preview and possible line-ups

Marco Reus is expected to start, having succesfully returned to action against Augsburg on the weekend, while Jadon Sancho is fast becoming an automatic pick for Lucien Favre's side. Christian Pulisic has recently returned to training following a foot injury and could play a part here, but Marcel Schmelzer and Lukasz Piszczek are major doubts and are unlikely to start.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino is likely to stick with the 5-3-2 formation that served his side so well in the first leg, but with Ben Davies in at left-back while Jan Vertonghen moves back to his preferred position in central defence. Star players Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min should also start, as should Victor Wanyama, who has proved his fitness recently.
Eric Dier is a long-term absentee with tonsillitis and is a major doubt for this one, meaning he will likely only make the bench at best, while Harry Winks is 50-50 to play due to a hip injury.
"We know it will be very difficult but you never know. We have already played many games in this stadium where we have written history and we are in a position to achieve the impossible. If they score it will be very difficult, but the whole team believes in themselves."
"He has played really, really well in the first half of the season and also at the beginning of the second half of the season, but sometimes he has some highs and lows. Jadon is a very talented player, he is 18 years old and sometimes at 18 it is up and down. He has talent, but there is no talent without hard work. Talent is 10 per cent, hard work is 90 per cent."
"I think it’s a great opportunity to play and go through to the next round in an important competition like the Champions League. Tomorrow is going to be a tough game. We need to forget the first leg."
"We need to assess both. They are here because we still need one day more to assess if they can. Dier has been out for a while and maybe on the bench. Winks we need to see tomorrow."
Borussia Dortmund conceded three goals in their first leg against Tottenham than they did in the entirety of this season's group stage.
No team has ever won 3-0 at home in the first leg of a Champions League knockout match and failed to progress.
Tottenham have won the last three encounters between these two sides.
Dortmund: Burki; Guerreiro, Diallo, Akanji, Hakimi; Witsel, Delaney; Sancho, Reus, Pulisic; Alcacer.
Tottenham: Lloris; Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen; Aurier, Sissoko, Wanyama, Davies; Eriksen; Son, Kane.
