Bielsa, from compliments about Bilic to arguments with his translator!

The Championship, just like the rest of English football, does not stop over Christmas and New Year. West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United drew 1-1 and the game was remembered for several reasons.

To start with, Marcelo Bielsa surprised everyone with some unbridled praise for Slaven Bilic, the rival coach: "I know his history and the human position he holds in the way he has chosen to live. When one competes with such healthy people, there is a feeling of satisfaction, whether you win or lose":

However, El Loco also stood out in his post-match interview for the stern words he had with his translator.

Bielsa spoke about the wear and tear of his defenders and when it was translated as 'fatigue' by his interpreter, the Argetine was quick to correct him: "Not fatigue no, desgaste". The translator tried again, calmly: "Yes, they were tired". And Bielsa once again insisted: "No, tired, no, desgastados". 

Another anecdote for a coach who is doing quite well at the Championship this year, as Leeds United continue to be well placed in their bid for promotion.
