Belgium will be at the tournament next summer. Roberto Martinez's men only needed to win on Thursday to seal qualification and they won in emphatic fashion. They now have a maximum 21 points from seven matches.
Although they could have qualified before kicking a ball, Cyprus prevented that by beating Kazakhstan 1-2. As a result, Roberto Martinez's men had to do their bit. As expected, they did not disappoint against the weakest team in the group.
San Marino travelled to Belgium pointless and without having scored a goal in their first six matches. Belgium went into the game with 18 points from a possible 18 (which became 21), 19 goals scored and just one against.
The match was very one sided and Belgium dominated from start to finish, showing the hunger they have to take advantage of a special generation and try and win the Euros next summer.
That said, Belgium, despite qualifying, are still not guaranteed top spot. They are currently three points ahead of Russia and they still have to meet each other once more. Belgium won the first meeting 3-1.
