Niko Kovac's team went into the game against Eintracht Frankfurt knowing that a draw would be enough to crown them champions, regardless of Borussia Dortmund's result.
On a nostalgic Saturday which saw Robben, Ribery and Rafinha say goodbye, the Bavarians only needed to focus on themselves and not even need to look at what was going on in the Dortmund game. It was all going smoothly for Bayern when Coman gave them an early lead in the fourth minute, but it was at the start of the second half when the nerves arrived. Haller got an equaliser for Eintracht Frankfurt. With that scoreline and Dortmund winning at Monchengladbach, Bayern were still champions, but were aware that one more Frankfurt goal would have given Dortmund the title.

Alaba quickly calmed the nerves at the Allianz Arena though. The defender got on the end of a rebound after a save by Trapp to make it 2-1. Then in the 58th minute, Bayern sealed the deal with a goal from Renato Sanches.
