Bayern and Real Madrid 'favourites' to win Champions League, says Inzaghi

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi remarked on Monday that Bayern Munich, their opponent in the quarterfinals, besides being “the favourite along with Real Madrid” to win the Champions League, is not the only team with important absentees.
The Allianz Arena hosts on Tuesday the first leg of the quarter-final and the numerous injuries of the Germans, with the most recent of Jamal Musiala, have placed Inter with a chance of getting through the round, something that Inzaghi wanted to evade in a press conference.
"They have good players and a lot of absentees, but my team also has absentees. We are here without 5 players: Asllani is ruled out, Correa couldn't make the list and then Taremi, Zielinski and Dumfries are injured, so we will also have to suffer," he said from the Munich stadium. "Sometimes I say that you have to applaud my players more because we have been suffering for 2 months. I have 14-15 players and people only talk about Bayern Munich's absentees," he added.
Furthermore, for the coach, Bayern Munich is the favourite in this edition along with Real Madrid. "It will be a great challenge with a club that I think is the favourite for the final victory along with Real Madrid. We deserve to be here. I have already played in this stadium with both Inter and Lazio and it is always very difficult," he said.
He also highlighted the loss of Musiala as the Bavarians' most sensitive loss: "For me he is one of the best talents at the moment, it will be a great absence, but Bayern will be able to choose who to play with between Gnabry and Muller, and that shows the value of their squad, which is very strong".
