Barcelona are having to watch what they spend. With their financial problems in mind, the Catalan side are planning to have a cheap window this summer during which they could welcome Lionel Messi back, who is out of contract at PSG.
With this in mind, Barcelona are thought to be studying several options, including Palmeiras' Raphael Veiga. He is a creative midfielder and, at 27 years of age, he is without doubt one of South America's best in his position.
The Brazilian is under contract with the Brazilian side until December 2026, and a possible transfer would cost around €15 million.
Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira describes him as the best "all-rounder": "I get goose bumps. For me, he's the best number 10 that I've ever coached. He's also an all-rounder. He goes forward, gets assists, scores goals, but he also does something very few number 10s do - he comes back to win the ball back. He oozes quality".
