Barça continue to keep tabs on Darwin Núñez

He is one of Europe's hottest strikers. Darwin Núñez, at 22 years of age, has entered the plans of teams such as Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United, despite the fact that Benfica are asking a whopping 80 million euros for his transfer. 

The Uruguayan striker scored Benfica's only goal in the Champions League head-to-head against Liverpool, despite the Portuguese side's 1-3 defeat, taking his tally to five goals in Europe's top competition. 

Darwin is an expert in scoring against quality opponents in the Champions League: two goals against Barcelona, one more against Bayern Munich, another against Ajax and the goal we have already talked about against the Reds.

In total, in his second season at Benfica, Darwin Núñez has scored 28 goals in 35 official matches, 26 of them as a starter, figures that have led to most of Europe being interested in his signature. 

And among them is Barça, who have not thrown in the towel. According to the newspaper 'Sport', Barça are still keeping an eye on the Benfica player, who they were already studying in the Ajax-Benfica game in Amsterdam.
