Arsenal and Burnley players to give Wenger guard of honour

Regardless of the result on Sunday, it will be an emotional day for Wenger and Arsenal. After 22 years together, the pair are parting ways, and Wenger will get his chance to say goodbye to the stadium he helped Arsenal earn over the years. 

The farewell will begin at kick-off, as both sides are expected to clap the French veteran onto the pitch in a guard of honour. That being said, most of the celebration will take place after the football has been played.

Captain Per Mertesacker, who will retire at the end of the season and take over the academy, will be presented with a gift, as will long-serving kit man Vic Ackers. 

A lap of honour is planned, and a procession of former players will take place, with legends who have played over 100 games for the club expected to make appearances.

Fans will also be given t-shirts that say 'Merci Arsene' on them, to wear during the game.
