And it wasn't even a yellow: Marvin's leg after Machis challenge

During the vital encounter between Granada and Real Madrid in La Liga, Marvin was hit by a tough challenge from Machis around the 25-minute mark. Despite going unnoticed by the referee, the consequences were tough for the young full-back, the extent of which has been revealed by an image released by 'Jugones'.
In it, the Granada man can be seen treading forcefully on the leg of the opposition player and dragging his studs downwards, causing a horrific 'S' shaped wound to appear on Marvin's calf. The Madrid player carried on until half time, at which point his manager Zidane replaced him for Odriozola.
Once the match ended, the RM boss explained that the reason for his decision came from the player having a hamstring problem, which may or may not have been caused by Machis' action. At the moment, the club are yet to release a medical report on the physical wellbeing of the player, who has to recover as soon as possible.
That said, the image has angered Real Madrid fans. The referee of the match Gil Manzano didn't think the foul warranted even a yellow card. VAR didn't advise the on-field official to review the challenge either, which on another occasions could easily have seen red.
