Ancelotti wants Casemiro to return to Brazil squad

New journey for Ancelotti in the dugout. The Italian, still at the helm of Real Madrid, will join the Brazilian national team at the end of the current season. A change of scenery for ‘Carletto’, who has already made his first decision for the South American qualifiers in June: to call up Casemiro.
The Brazilian player, absent from the ‘Selecao’ rosters since November 2023, will once again be part of the squad. That is what ‘GloboEsporte’ has reported, which has pointed out that the player from Reggiolo has even contacted the midfielder to let him know that he is counting on him. It should be remembered that he is a player very fond of the coach, as they shared many successes in Madrid.
The two shared two seasons together, both in different stages of the coach's tenure on the ‘Merengue’ bench. Enough time to develop a great friendship and for the player from Sao Jose dos Campos to become a fundamental part of the coach's schemes. Casemiro played a total of 75 matches under Ancelotti, in which he scored one goal and provided five assists. Together they won eight titles.
So good was the relationship that the player, in an interview he gave to Edu Aguirre on April 18th last year, confessed that the Italian cried when he told him he was leaving for United in the summer of 2022: "I only hesitated to leave Madrid when I saw Ancelotti crying".
