Ancelotti: "If I say what I think about the referee, I'll get suspended"

Carlo Ancelotti first spoke to the national media about Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Sevilla on Saturday, and his reaction came as something of a surprise, given that refereeing decisions seemed to irritate the Italian during the game.

"I liked it (the refereeing) 100%, it was a hard-fought match with a lot of duels and I think he was right in every situation. I'm not being ironic, I'm very serious. At the end of the match, I asked him why he had cautioned me. I wasn't talking to him, but to Camavinga."

Then, a few minutes later, the coach expressed himself more freely for the Spanish club's channel: "Irony is the only way to go after this match. If I say what I think about the refereeing, I get suspended for several games. What I love most is sitting on the Real Madrid bench, which is why I don't say what I think."

Despite the Brazilian's lack of success in attack, Ancelotti picked out his man of the match: "For me, Rodrygo was one of the best, if not the best."

Finally, the reunion with Sergio Ramos went well, despite some friction between the defender and the Madrid players during the match: "I was happy to see him again, to say hello to him and to wish him all the best for the future.
