Gianfranco Zola has insisted that he has made no decision over his future despite reports linking him with a return to Chelsea.
Gianfranco Zola has insisted that he has made no decision over his future despite reports linking him with a return to Chelsea.
The Italian is a Chelsea legend, having played in west London between 1996 and 2003, and he has frequently been linked with a role with the backroom staff.
Chelsea are believed to be courting Maurizio Sarri, with 'Sky Sports' reporting that the former Napoli manager's agent is in London to finalise a deal after Chelsea agreed to pay Napoli the requisite compensation.
Zola won the Serie A title with Napoli in 1990, playing a key role alongside Diego Maradona, and with Sarri being a Naples native it is believed the two would work well together.
However, Zola himself has kept his cards close to his chest.
"There is a lot of rumours about me at the moment and nothing has happened. And we'll see what happens in the future," he told 'SuperSport'.
"I don't know. I was afraid you were going to ask me this. Really, I don't know.
"But honestly, at the moment it is only talking. Nothing is decided."
