The Moroccan footballer will have to compete with Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk as a minimum in a side of three midfielders which Graham Potter usually plays.
The Chelsea boss knows about the situation, but admitted that the number 22 will be important: "He's a professional, and he understands the situation, he has returned and he's trained with the team. He'll be an important part for the rest of the season, I'm sure of it".
Hakim Ziyech hoped to be in Paris right now and not back in London. What is for certain is that we will never know for sure the reasons why the negotiations fell through and the idea of having him in their ranks did not come to fruition.
