Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha was praised once more as 'the Eagles' took on Bournemouth on Monday night, this time with former boss Frank de Boer likening his dribbling ability to that of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

Zaha, 25, has impressed under Roy Hodgson this season although struggled to perform at the Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth were 2-1 victors

Speaking on 'Sky Sports', De Boer remarked: "What he has is a half step, you think as a defender you're going to touch the ball but he's so quick with it, he can make a half step, that he touches it with his other leg and you think you have the ball and you kick him.

"Like Messi, always every pass or every step he can touch the ball, right foot or left foot, Zaha has that same quality, every step he can touch the ball and then you get a lot of kicks.

"One against one he's unbelievable, so quick in the first ten metres, inside, outside, a good Zaha is almost unstoppable in my opinion."

Despite grabbing an assist for Patrick Van Aanholt's goal, Zaha had a frustrating night though will hope to pick up in form next time out against Wolves.
