Xavi will wait for Kounde to give the squad list
Barcelona will not announce the squad list for the match against Real Sociedad until they know if they can finally register Jules Kounde for the second La Liga match.
Barcelona still don't know if Jules Kounde will be available for the second game of the season. The French centre-back was the only player not registered for the opener, and is not yet registered on the La Liga website.
The Catalan giants are trying to speed up all the open operations to get rid of some of their players. These are the cases of Memphis Depay, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Samuel Umtiti.
The departure of two of them could make it possible to register Kounde. That doubt is the reason, according to 'Marca', why Barcelona have not yet announced the squad list for the clash against Real Sociedad.
Xavi Hernandez, in his pre-match press conference, could not confirm whether the former Sevilla player would play in the match against the Basque club.
"We have to keep waiting to see if it can be done. We have time until Sunday," said the Barcelona coach, aware of the importance of the Frenchman's registration.
All this, while Barcelona continue to look for reinforcements in the market. Specifically for the defence, where a right-back could arrive, as well as Marcos Alonso on the left.
