Worrying stat for Atletico ahead of CL clash: Just 1 win in last 18 games

Atletico don't hold a great record against Barcelona ahead of their quarte final Champions League clash with Barcelona... However, that last victory was spectacular, and took them through to the semi-finals a few years back.

Curiously, the defeat to Atletico a few seasons back was the last defeat the Catalan giants have suffered in the Champions League. Since then, they have gone on a 21 game unbeaten streak in Europe's most prestigious club competition.

Apart from that victory though, Atletico have failed to beat Barcelona in the last 6 years, with their last win (excluding the forementioned) dating back to February 2010, in a 2-1 win.

Since that victory, they have suffered 12 defeats, 5 draws and just that Champions League victory.

In the 2010-11 season, under Guardiola, Barcelona won at Calderon (2-1) and at Camp Nou (3-0), and again in both fixtures in the following season (5-0 at the Camp Nou and 1-2 at Calderon).

Guardiola's departure did little for Atletico's luck against Barcelona, with two more defeats the following season (4-1 at the Camp Nou and 1-2 at Calderon), with Barcelona eventually winning the league.

Atletico's luck was to improve a bit the following season, with Barcelona unable to beat Simeone's men. They drew twice in the Supercopa (1-1 and 0-0) and the league (0-0 and 1-1), before getting a 1-0 result at home to Barcelona in the Champions League, and a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou, to send them through.

Last year Barcelona won all the encounters (3-1 y 0-1 in the league and 1-0 and 2-3 in the Cup), and the same again this year (1-2 and 2-1 in the league).

Will they be able to change their luck tomorrow?
