Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl spoke about the competition in the Premier League. Ahead of the clash against Liverpool, the Saints boss declared that for him it is "harder to win the Premier League than the Champions League". In addition, he did not hesitate to point out that Jurgen Klopp will go all out to get to the last day with a chance.

Liverpool's slim Premier League title chances lie away to Southampton. Jurgen Klopp's side face the Saints on Tuesday and are four points behind leaders Manchester City. The Reds team needs to win and hope for a City lost in the last day to be champions.

If that were to happen, it would be the second Premier League title under the German manager's spell in charge. The Anfield side will want to go into Sunday's game against Wolves with a chance of lifting the title. In the build-up to the Southampton clash, Saint's manager Ralph Hasenhuttl praised the high level in England and compared it to Europe.

"This is still the title that is the most countable for everybody because it’s the hardest to get. For me it’s even harder to be over 38 games in the Premier League consistently on the top than to win the Champions League sometimes." Furthermore, he did not hesitate to point out that their opponents will go all out to reach the final matchday with a chance.

"Even if he says it’s tough for him to go for all four, I know he will do everything to win this game on Tuesday to give himself a chance on the last day. I think it is fantastic for the Premier League to have such a close title race.  We have done our job this season against Man City with two points. They lost four points against us in the title race.

"Against Liverpool, the first game we lost, so now it’s up to us to show again that we can be competitive against a top team." He said.

Liverpool already won the League Cup in February and the FA Cup last Saturday. Now, they have the chance to make it an all-time winning streak with the two remaining major competitions: the Premier League and the Champions League.
