Nacho was the Real Madrid player who appeared in front of the Movistar+ cameras after 'El Clasico' against Barcelona. Shivering cold from the downpour in Madrid, the defender of 'Los Blancos' stressed the importance of the win against their eternal rival.

Nacho Fernández, CB of Real Madrid, looked content following his side's 2-1 victory against Barcelona, in a match in which he acknowledges that "it was a final". But he doesn't want to get carried away just yet, as there is still "a lot left" to play for.

"It was very important. Winning a 'Clasico' is always special, as is the league table - fighting for La Liga is very important. Today was a final, but they are still many games left to play. It's up to us to fight", he said after the game on 'Movistar+'.

"We enjoyed playing on the counter. Barca prefer to keep hold of the ball and against them you need to be strong together. We suffered quite a lot despite the two goal advantage we had. Suffering, but winning in the end", he continued.

Nacho highlighted how difficult it was to play in the intense wind and rain that got worse in the second half in the Alfredo di Stéfano stadium. "It was very tricky. The match has finished and I'm shaking from the cold, it's a little bit unpleasant", he said.

Lastly, the CB pondered the strength in depth of Madrid's squad. "Of course we have back-up. We have a large squad, we are all contributing in these important games such as today and against Liverpool. The manager trusts us all and we have a few things left that we need to continue fighting for"; he said.

And all of this, on the verge of hyperthermia, under the rain that continued pouring this Saturday evening in Madrid, undoubtedly marks the game a 'Clasico' for the ages.
