Wigan Athletic and Northern Ireland striker Will Grigg finished in 25th position - level with Paul Pogba - in the nominations for the Best Player in Europe award.

The Northern International played his football in League One last season, England's third tier, but that did not stop people voting for Will Grigg to be nominated for Europe's best player.

The 25-year-old went viral on social media recently, with his song "Will Grigg's on fire" reaching all corners of the world.

It would be fair to say that Will Grigg probably would not have been anywhere near Pogba had it not been for the catchy tune, however.

The striker was part of Northern Ireland's 23-man squad for Euro 2016 but failed to make an appearance at the tournament.
