Blaise Matuidi signed for Italian side Juventus, and we want to suggest why the midfielder made this move.

On Wednesday evening, the French midfielder was signed by Juventus, joining the Italian side from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of £18million.

An indication as to why he left his club could be that he was not chosen to start for any of the opening games of the new season in France.

Matuidi has become the third choice player in his position, with Unai Emery preferring to use Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti.

PSG have to meet UEFA's Financial Fair play regulations, so the French side haa to let some players go in order to ease their wage bill, and Matuidi was one of the players on this list.

Finally, his cheap price is an indication that PSG wanted to get rid of him as quickly as possible, so they didn't want to spend a lot of time negotiating with Juventus.
