England secured their place at the 2018 World Cup with a 1-0 win over Slovenia on Thursday evening, now it's time for Gareth Southgate to start thinking about who will be on the plane to Russia next summer. Who makes your 23-man squad?

The win over Slovenia was far from convincing, but England have booked their place at next summer's tournament.

Now, attention turns to which stars will be on the plane, and who will be staying at home.

Here is BeSoccer's pick on who deserves to make the 23-man squad:

Goalkeepers: Joe Hart, Jack Butland, Jordan Pickford

Defenders: Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier, Gary Cahill, John Stones, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Michael Keane, Danny Rose, Ryan Bertrand

Midfielders: Eric Dier, Jordan Henderson, Danny Drinkwater, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Strikers: Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Marcus Rashford, Danny Welbeck

And here is a potential starting XI for the first match in Russia (4-2-3-1): Butland, Walker, Stones, Cahill, Rose, Dier, Drinkwater, Sterling, Alli, Rashford, Kane
