This Sunday, Barcelona president Joan Laporta addressed the annual club members (socios) meeting and talked about what happened in the match against Inter. He described it as "scandalous."

Days after the Champions League game, players such as Pedri gave their opinion on what happened. This Sunday, Laporta joined in at the annual 'socios' meeting.

The Barcelona president stated that they were "fuming" with the refereeing and Dumfries' handball which was not looked at on the VAR: "It was scandalous".

"We are fuming. It was such a huge outrage both the referee's decision not to give a penalty and the fact VAR didn't overrule it", the president claimed.

Immediately afterwards, Laporta referred to the Super League, and claimed that that sort of decision would not happen in such a competition: "That's why I am mentioning the Super League, because I think we have got to make refereeing a full-time job, and with the Super League, everything would be a lot more professional. These referees are twisting the competition".
