West Ham are weighing up loan offers from both Spain and Holland as they decide whether to allow young defender Reece Oxford continue his footballing education elsewhere, according to the 'Daily Mail'.

The academy starlet is highly rated at the club and he improved his reputation overseas with an impressive loan spell at Borussia Monchengladback last season.

Now, both AZ Alkmaar and Eibar are thought to have registered their interest in signing the 19-year-old on a season-long loan with an option to buy for £2m.

Having signed several new defenders this summer West Ham have effectively blocked Oxford from brekaing into the first team and are now weighing up whether to let him out on loan in search of first-team football.

The England U20 international has drawn comparisons with former West Ham star Rio Ferdinand during his fledgling career and has been tipped to go on and represent England in the future.
