West Ham unable to persuade Danjuma
The agreement between Villarreal and West Ham has been reached, but the player does not accept the conditions which West Ham have laid out.
Arnaut Danjuma will inevitably leave Villarreal this summer. The Dutch attacker wants to make a step forward in his career, while Villarreal want to make money from his sale.
In the last few hours, the agreement for the attacking player to move to West Ham seemed imminent as the operation was going to be sealed for slightly less than 45 million euros. What is more, Villarreal have got in contact with Almeria striker Umar Sadiq to replace the former Bournemouth player.
However, negotiations have come to a sudden halt. According to Fabrizio Romano, Danjuma has turned down the contractual offers from the English side and that could prevent a deal being completed.
The East London club will have to reconsider their offer if they want to count on the skilful striker, who scored 16 goals and gave four assists in 34 games last season.
